Calling the Vasundhara Raje government’s four years of rule as “black chapter”, leader of opposition in the state assembly Rameshwar Dudi on Wednesday unveiled a “Black Box” carrying 52 questions on “misgovernance” by the BJP.
Dudi alleged that misgovernance in Rajasthan was a big “political accident”.
“When an aircraft crashes, the black box installed has the reason behind it. Similarly, this box carries the failure of the government. We have raised 52 questions, which the chief minister should reply. We will send this black box to the CM, cabinet and MLAs,” he said.
Addressing newsperson on completion of the BJP government’s four years in Rajasthan on Wednesday, he held the state government responsible for fear, hunger, corruption and misguide.
“They made 611 promises in the Suraj Sankalp but not even 40% were fulfilled in four years. The election year is starting from today and CM is left with few months, now whatever announcements it will be looking to elections,” he alleged.
He questioned what has happened to complete farmer loan waiver? Why government silent on farmers suicide? Why interstate water agreement was not executed?
CM promised ₹10,000 crore project of running ships in Indira Gandhi Canal but till date the canal is struggling to get renovated, why? Why the farmers have to hold agitations? Why eastern Rajasthan canal project was stalled in papers? What happened to the promise of providing 15 lakh government jobs?
Dudi also alleged that around 70,000 newborn died in the past one year and the government remained silent spectator.
Atrocities against women and Dalit are on rise, he said, adding that the state is stunned with communal incidents.
“The government has failed on all fronts. Big project such as refinery, Parwan Irrigation project, Banswara rail project and metro phase-II were stopped with ill intentions,” he said.
Besides, Dudi said Dravyavati project in Jaipur was the CM’s dream project but was directionless.
The leader of opposition questioned the government’s target of 84 lakh toilets under ODF. He said water supply through pipeline was just 3% and rest dependent on other sources. The government should supply water to villages.
“This government is number one in corruption – ₹45,000 crore mine scam and then water department scam were reported from the state. The government tried suppressing Lalitgate incident,” he alleged.
Dudi demanded that the government should bring white paper on issues such as failure of Resurgent Rajasthan and in debt power companies.
“Thousands of schools were closed in four years, higher education system has collapsed and law and order is deteriorating,” he said.
“The BJP in the name of cow and Ram asks for vote but in reality thousands of cows died at cow shelters. Over 200 temples were demolished in Jaipur,” he alleged.
