Five dead, eight injured in Rajasthan road mishap

Five persons were killed and eight others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck on a highway in Rajasthan's Churu district.

Five persons were killed and eight others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck on a highway in Rajasthan's Churu district on Saturday.

The incident happened near Sujangarh area in Churu town, 206 km from Jaipur. The victims were coming after offering prayer at Salasar Balaji temple in Sikar district, police said.

The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where five of them, including two women, were declared brought dead. The condition of eight of them were stated to be serious, they said.
