Low to moderate rains occurred at many places in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner, Churu and Srigangangar districts yesterday and the rainfall varied from 1 mm to 6 mm at these places, the official said.
Hailstorms occurred in Churu, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Sriganganagar districts also spoiled the standing rabi crop, specially wheat and mustard, an agriculture department spokesman said.
Pilani, Udaipur and Bikaner recorded the minimum temperature of 8.4 degree C each last night. Whereas, mercury dipped at all places following rains by 2 to 4 degree C at many places, including Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur, where the minimum temperature was at 10 degree C each.
Western disturbances from Jammu and Kashmir and upper air cyclonic system affecting Rajasthan since Tuesday would be over by tomorrow giving respite from sudden cold conditions, a forecast said.
