"Naresh Kumar, 27, was killed in the accident," said ADCP, airport Santosh Nimbalkar. He was supposed to go on leave from Saturday for his engagement and was going to be married in November.

Sources at the airport said that the 11 jawans including one driver were on patrolling duty. Police said the accident took place on the road inside the boundary wall of the airport between two watchtowers eight and nine.

Four jawans were admitted to the Apollo Hospital and they were in stable condition. The injured driver had to be shifted to the Daffodil Nursing Home from the Charnock Hospital. Sources said that the patrolling vehicle was moving at high speed.
