Former president APJ Abdul Kalam, who was frisked by airport authorities in New York in September, downplayed the incident saying it was not worth talking about on Monday. Kalam, 80, was in the city to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the IIM-Calcutta.

"Forget it… forget it… it is not worth talking," said Kalam when asked to comment on the incident.

Kalam was returning home from the John F Kennedy airport on September 29 when he was frisked twice.

Addressing the students, Kalam pitched for the Kudankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu again.

"It is a modern plant, which will become a source of green energy. It will not compromise safety.
