West Bengal will bid for hosting the National Games, minister of states for sports Madan Mitra said today.

West Bengal will bid for hosting the National Games, minister of states for sports Madan Mitra said on Monday.
“We have got the consent of the chief minister (Mamata Banerjee) for bidding next year for the National Games. We are very enthusiastic about the National Games and have started preparations for that,” Mitra said here.
“We have already held talks with the Bengal Olympic Association and will also hold talks with the Indian Olympic Association,” he said.
The 34th National Games concluded in Ranchi in February this year.
