Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh lost his cool during an election meeting at Dundahera on Tuesday after he was interrupted by someone from the audience who wanted him to address his grievance.

A video of the incident was shared on social media that showed Singh telling a person (not in the frame) to talk about his issues later and said to the audience that individual problems should be raised at the time of local elections.

“If you have something to say, you can come home and talk. Why should you interrupt? Should you disrespect me like this in the village?” said Singh, while speaking on the stage. He said instead of raising local matters, the people should vote in this election on issues that concern the nation.

BJP spokesperson Raman Malik said that the video shows an honest conversation between the BJP MP and the voters.

Mahesh Yadav, Aam Aadmi Party head in Gurugram, however, said that it is the duty of an elected representative to answer people’s questions. “It is a democratic right to ask questions and no one needs to get angry when this happens,” he said.

Captain (retd) Ajay Yadav, Congress candidate from Gurgaon seat, said that the Gurugram MP has remained inaccessible to people that is why they are asking such questions.
