For the first time in the history of IIM-L, a governor was invited to address the freshers. Evidently excited to be reliving his college days, governor BL Joshi said, “Employability is essential but what is more important is the ability to create more jobs. Entrepreneurship is the only answer to this. Don’t just think about finding good jobs but innovate and reinvent old methods to create jobs for others. Think about the social organisation.” “Innovation and reinvention are the keys to face the dynamic challenges being posed daily for the present generation,” he told the students.

Quoting Dr Abdul Kalam Azad, Joshi told the students - always have big aspirations, think big and keep shifting your horizon. Notably more than 400 students attended the inaugural session of the induction programme.

Devi Singh, director IIM Lucknow said highlighted the fact that in any good MBA programme, the process of un-learning is very important, the programme would help the students to unlearn their unidimensional thought process and help them in acquiring a multidimensional approach.
