SP leader shot dead in Mau

A senior Samajwadi Party leader Badri Yadav,55, was shot dead today near village Ghaziapur under Madhuvan police station in Mau. He was going on a motorcycle along with Vinod Yadav when unidentified criminals opened fire on him.

A senior Samajwadi Party leader Badri Yadav,55, was shot dead on Tuesday near village Ghaziapur under Madhuvan police station in Mau. He was going on a motorcycle along with Vinod Yadav when unidentified criminals opened fire on him.

The IG (law and order) RK Vishwakarma told journalists enmity with one Kamlesh Yadav was reported to be reason behind the crime.

Vishwakarma said that Kamlesh Yadav had entered into a house with evil intention and Badri Yadav had got him arrested. However Kamlesh was freed after a compromise with Badri.

Vishwakarma said since Kamlesh had threatened him, the police had registered FIR against him and four others Dippan Yadav, Krishnanad Yadav, Ramsarang Yadav and Audhesh Yadav.

However so far there was no arrest. Senior officers have rushed to spot.
