"Through this toll free number, the victims will be able to lodge their complaints and their identity will be kept secret," IG, Law and Order BP Singh said.

Tracing the phone number, the conversation would be recorded and if required it (recording) would later be used as evidence in the court, Singh said.

After issuing warnings, police on their own would lodge case against the accused persons in case they do not show any sign of mending their behaviour, Singh added.
