My ideal weekend: Sanjeev Kapoor
Chef and TV show host Sanjeev Kapoor loves good food and wine. But he burns it all with exercise
Q) Dine out, order in, or cook a meal on weekends?
Cook a meal without a doubt. Home-made food is comforting for me.
Q) On weekends: work out like it’s just another day/go easy/exercise…what’s that?
Well, I would say a combination of all. Would go a little easy but can’t miss out on my regime.
Q) Strictly salads and grilled chicken, or cheese/chocolate cheat for the weekend?
Cheat days are absolutely essential, so I’m all for that. I make sure I exercise harder to cut those extra kilos.
Q) Where do you party?
Anywhere where there’s great food, music and company.
Q) Where do you love getting breakfast and your go-to order?
At home. It could be a simple egg white omelette with some sautéed mushrooms and bread.
Q) Tea or coffee?
None. Nariyal Pani or Nimbu Pani.
Q) Some complicated Iced Frappe person or straight up espresso person?
I like keeping things simple, so a straight up espresso would be just great.
Q) Cosmopolitan or whisky on the rocks?
Wine.
Q) Street food that makes my day.
Vada Pav, right on the streets.
Q)Party till dawn or wake up for yoga at dawn?
Partying is good but will still go with yoga at dawn.
Q) Books, music or movies?
Let me put it in this order — music, then books and movies.
Q) Twitter or Instagram?
Twitter.
Q) Favourite hash tag.
#indiancuisine
Q) What one thing can totally make your weekend?
Kadhi-chawal, by my mother.
