Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir is an engaging start to the New Year with its thrilling premise and excellent performances. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar in pivotal roles, the film uses chess as a metaphor for life and borrows quite a few of its moves.

The revenge saga also features Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The revenge thriller has been written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi.

Wazir is a thriller that narrates the story of a cop (Farhan), a disabled man (Amitabh) and the unusual circumstances that lead to friendship between the two. However, there are sinister goings-on in the background and the film soon turns into a game of life and death.
