According to Pune airport director Ajay Kumar, two SpiceJet flights — Goa-Pune and Kochi-Pune — were diverted to Mumbai as the runway at Pune airport was blocked for an hour in the afternoon.

The 25 passengers inside the Pune-Delhi Air India flight were disembarked after smoke emanated from it. Earlier, the flight which was to fly on Saturday evening had to be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon owing to the snag.
