An officer from Bhoiwada police station said, “The two were walking near a bar in Dadar when Wagela hit Roy on his head. After this, Roy got angry and smashed his head on a bench made of cement.”

Wagela’s brother Rohit said, “I was at home when someone came up to me and said that a man was being assaulted, so I rushed to the spot and found that it was my own brother.”

He added that Roy had beaten him up over a petty matter. He had taken his brother to KEM hospital.
