"The bad state of UP is a creation of the Gandhi family. UP is only a political mine for them where they did not initiate any development for years forcing people to migrate," Thackeray said.

Thackeray added that people from UP are migrating to other states and begging for jobs because of them.

"We are not calling any of these people to Maharashtra. It has become a headache for us," he said.

Thackeray also supported his workers who attacked the film censor board office on Monday. He said he had asked the censor board in June to include Marathi members of the film fraternity on their board.

"How can non-Marathi speaking people do an assessment of a Marathi film? It is time this changed," he added.
