Dr Mokashi said, “I have been in the field of education for the past 25 years and have been analysing share market trends for the past 18 years. I approached several universities in India for a PhD on this subject. But it is a new concept and there were no guides available for a PhD.”

Three years ago, Mokashi met the then dean of NM university, Dr Kothari, who liked the subject and allowed him to register and submit his thesis on it.

Dr RN Nair from Mumbai University and Dr PR Choudhary from NM University were his guides.

His thesis, titled, “The theory of triple trend integration”, claims to identify trends in shares, commodities and currencies with great precision.

Experts believe this theory will open new professional avenues for many educated Indians.
