Even as the Andheri Regional Transport Office on Monday seized the bus in which a four-year-old nursery student from a Juhu school was allegedly molested by a bus cleaner, the School Bus Owners' Association (SBOA) said schools must make alternative arrangements if the woman attendant for the school bus does not show up on a certain day.

The Association has suggested that schools should either send a woman staffer or ask parents to pick up their children from the school.

Officials with the Andheri RTO said the permit of the school bus operator and the licence of the bus driver are likely to be cancelled in the next few days.

Officials are waiting for a few days for responses from the operator and driver on the show-cause notices served to them.
