"Separate formulae will be drawn for both taxi and autorickshaw fare, the elements used in the formulae will be same but there will be some distinction. Further, the formulae will be bifurcated for CNG and petrol vehicles depending on the fuel vehicles are running," PMA Hakim, who constitutes the one-man committee said.

The committee was set up on May 13 and is collecting data on various factors of taxi and autorickshaw trade from across the state to compute the formulae.

"The new formulae will be similar to the existing ones; they could differ slightly. Some components could be added or the value of existing elements could be increased," said a transport official requesting anonymity.
