Addressing RSS workers here, Bhagwat said Hindutva was the soul of the nation and it was the job of the RSS to protect it.

"A Hindu does not scare anybody and is not afraid of anyone," he said.

He said the RSS would support only developmental politics which is in national interest.

The RSS chief said the country was facing internal and external threats to its sovereignty and called for a tough stand on terror.

Bhagwat also accused the Centre of going soft on Pakistan.

"Hindutva is nationalism and can keep the country united," he said.
