Ganesh Shyam Satvidkar, told the police that the green-coloured Scorpio is always parked outside the Citi Service petrol pump at Prabhadevi junction every night. Other cars used by the management are also parked in the same area. The car was last seen parked there on Sunday night.

Assistant Police Inspector B. Naikwadi, from Dadar police station said, “We will try to find out if there were any eyewitnesses to the incident. Besides the car papers there was nothing important kept in the car. We suspect the car was stolen with the help of a duplicate key.”

Senior Police Inspector A. D. Unde said, “Incidents of car theft in this area are not so frequent, so it does not appear to be the work of a gang. We have registered a case of theft.”
