“The HC on Wednesday admitted the petition filed by the state government which will come up for hearing in due course,” said additional public prosecutor Pradeep Hingorani.

The court in August 2011 had convicted two members of the right wing Sanathan Sanstha under sections 324, 201 and 427 of the IPC. Ramesh Gadkari and Vikram Bhave were also held guilty under sections of Explosives Substances Act. They were acquitted of charges of attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The appeal also includes four other accused who were acquitted of all charges.
