Have complaints or suggestions about the two newly-acquired trains that have started services on the Western Railway (WR) network? All you need is the Internet.
You can send feedback to the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVC) by downloading a form from their website http://www.mrvc.indianrailways.gov.in, and filling in your suggestions.
The new trains, procured under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) 2, run fully on alternate current (AC), and started plying on the WR suburban section from March 18. In order to gauge the response of the public to these trains, the MRVC has started an online survey. The form asks passengers to give their feedback about passenger amenities – if there is enough leg space for them between seats in both first and second class compartments, if the forced ventilation system is effective, the ease of using double-grip handles, luggage racks and so on. The MRVC has uploaded the passenger feedback form on their website.
Once the form is downloaded, passengers have to fill in their feedback and email the form to email@example.com or post the form to the Chief Operations Manager, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd, 2nd Floor, Churchgate station building, Churchgate, Mumbai – 400020.
“We have displayed the form only on the website for now, but soon we will approach the passengers in trains to take their response. Depending on their feedback, changes can be suggested for production of the next trains,” said an MRVC official, requesting anonymity.
