The civil partnership certificate, recording Sir Elton John's wedding to David Furnish, has disclosed the real identity of the legendary singer.
According to the paperwork, Elton's middle name is 'Hercules', while originally he was christened as Reginald Kenneth Dwight. It further revealed that both men's mothers acted as witnesses to the ceremony.
The certificate listed Elton's occupation as musician, while Furnish's as filmmaker, and under the heading "condition", it also noted that Sir Elton's previous marriage to Renate Blauel had been dissolved, while Mr Furnish was listed as single, reports the Telegraph.
Sir Elton and Mr Furnish were among nearly 700 same-sex couples who formed civil partnerships on December 21.
