Hard Kaur is set to release a single about female empowerment

Rapper-singer Hard Kaur is set to release her new single on July 26. Titled ‘Sherni’ (lioness), the track is about on the empowerment of women.

“I wrote this song four years ago, but I didn’t release it as I felt people were not ready for such a track. We don’t get support for such songs because they’re not commercial. Now that the digital scene is so big in India, artistes like me can release our music independently, and let our fans enjoy our work,” says Kaur.

The singer, who has completed 21 years in the industry, will release the song on YouTube. Explaining the title of the song, Kaur says, “With so much rape and ill-treatment towards women taking place in our country, it’s time we stop accepting this cr**.”
