Janet Jackson making a comeback: First album in 7 years coming soon

This is music to our ears! Janet Jackson is making a comeback. BMG has announced that it will release Janet Jackson's first album in seven years soon. Her last album Dicipline released in 2008.

is all set to make a comeback--she will release her first album in seven years later this year. The yet untitled album will be released on her label, Rhythm Nation Records but via Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG).

Expressing her excitement, the 49-year-old singer, who has sold over 160 million albums worldwide, thanked the talented team at BMG and said that the opportunity to be creative in music and every form of entertainment had great potential here, reported E! Online.

Hartwig Masuch, CEO, BMG said that the singer wasn't just a supreme artiste but was a unique cultural force whose work echoed around the world.

He added that it was an honour that the All For You hitmaker has picked them to release her long-awaited new album. They were looking forward to collaborating with her across every platform, he further said.

Jakcson released her last album Discipline in 2008.
