Dressed like a Victorian bride, the 27-year-old pop star opened up about her split from husband Russell Brand in the lyrics of the heartbreak tune, with sky-high acrobats and dancers, at the Mgm Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, reported MTV online.

Accepting her Spotlight Award at the beginning of the night, Perry told fans Wide Awake was the "most personal" tune she has ever written.

Brand and Perry split late last year and their divorce is expected to be finalised over the summer.
