Kishore Kumar’s song inspires new musical

“The story is about a young executive who is a great fan of Kishore Kumar, but can’t sing. To impress a girl, he enters a singing contest, and the spirit of Kishore Kumar enters him,” informs Viraf Sarkari, director, Wizcraft International Entertainment, co-owners of Kingdom of Dreams.

This will be the second musical to be showcased in Gurgaon after Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince that will go on a world tour in 2012. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was present at the announcement of the song at the IIFA awards in Toronto, admitted that it was one of his favourite retro tracks, and even sang four lines from it.
