Singer-songwriter-composer Darshan Raval is young and full of ambition. After showcasing his work on the internet, he has now managed to create his own singles and has also done playback singing.

Raval visited Pune last week to promote his latest single ‘Baarish lete ana’ and revealed why he brings out one monsoon song every year. “I eagerly wait for the rains every year. I am one of those people, who love the monsoons. My life is connected with rains and I believe all magical things happen during this time. I also believe that many enjoy this season, so my songs connect with them. I created this song for people to enjoy and celebrate the rains,” says the playback singer of songs such as ‘Kheech mere photo’ (Sanam Teri Kasam; 2016).

Raval shares that he has enjoyed every bit of his journey and has no regrets. “People often describe their journey as a struggle or a trying time. However, for me, it has always been about enjoying the path rather than thinking about the destination. I have enjoyed each and every aspect of the journey. It has never been about the final result for me,” he says. He has over 10 singles to his credit and is working towards bringing out more. He adds, “I get inspired by people around me. I am observant of happenings around me and I try and take in the best.”

Raval made his Bollywood playback debut with ‘Jab tum chaho’ (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo; 2015). This year, he will be singing for Aayush Sharma in Loveratri. “It is a different feeling to sing for someone else. It is challenging as well, but I enjoy being a part of it.”

Moving out of his comfort zone, Raval shares that this year he has experimented with a few songs. “All my upcoming Bollywood tracks are different from what I have done so far,” says Raval, who hopes to sing for Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor soon.
