Raghu Dixit, has released a new Independence Day track called Chala Hai Tiranga, on ArtistAloud.com. Although, he was skeptical to do a patriotic song, the lyrical content of the track convinced him to do it.

Chala Hai Tiranga

is a folk rock song produced and sung by Dixit. “It’s completely different from other patriotic tracks. It is about our National Flag, travelling from the rural areas to the big cities, representing our Motherland,” he says.

About releasing the song online, he says, “These days television and radio have completely stopped promoting independent artistes. With social networking being such a boon, the Internet is the perfect market to showcase music. It also makes for good money,” he adds.

Recently, the Raghu Dixit Project toured Spain and UK and will soon be performing in Australia and Scandinavia.

will be performed live in concert in Bangalore on August 25, and streamed live on the ArtistAloud website.
