PATNA: Bihar scientists have reported presence of high levels of arsenic in human blood from two villages of Buxar. Presenting their findings, the first such, at a world forum convened at the International Arsenic Congress at Stockholm, researchers said, 664.7 and 505.2 part per billion (ppb) arsenic was detected in two blood samples of residents of Tilak Rai Ka Haata and Simri villages of Buxar, respectively. Pathological examination of tissues from some cancer patients of these villages also showed arsenic concentration in higher amount.
