DARBHANGA: A Dalit woman was allegedly beaten up and an attempt was made to force her to drink urine by a group of village strongmen, who accused her of practising witchcraft. But police denied such an incident. As per an FIR lodged in connection at the Bahera police station on July 29, the incident took place at Pipara village, about 29km east of the north Bihar district headquarters town of Darbhanga. The victim, Malti Devi (assumed name), 30, alleged that five persons, including two women, abused her and accused her of being a witch.
