Guwahati: A mob led by suspected drug peddlers attacked and injured a superintendent of police (SP) and six other policemen in Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district on Saturday night. CK Mein, the SP, suffered injuries on his hand and torso but was out of danger unlike two of his colleagues — a sub-inspector and a havildar — who were rushed to a hospital in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. Namsai district’s extra assistant commissioner HN Dubey said the miscreants attacked the policemen when they raided the house of a suspected drug dealer in Mahadevpur area in the district.
