Hospital staff rescue stillborn’s body from dog

BHOPAL: A dog took away a stillborn baby from a government hospital in Satna, prompting authorities to order an inquiry. Civil surgeon Dr SB Singh said on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, a woman named Sabeena approached the district hospital. “She delivered a premature stillborn baby on Sunday night. The nurses handed over the body to the family. As it was night and the body couldn’t be cremated, the family members kept the body wrapped in a cloth under a bed,” Dr Singh said. “Later at night, a dog entered the ward and took away the body. However, a hospital staff snatched it and handed it over to the family,” he said.
