World champion Chen Xiexia of China on Saturday set two new Olympic records for the women's weightlifting 48kg class by lifting 117kg in the clean and jerk on the way to a total winning lift of 212kg at the Beijing Olympics on Saturday.

Chen's victory gave China its first gold medal of the Games.
