India lost 1-2 against Canada to crash out in the quarterfinals of the team event in the World Junior Boys Squash Championships in Quito, Ecuador. Aditya Jagtap was no match for Andrew Schnell as the Indian lost in straight games 5-11, 9-11, 4-11 to give lead to Canada on Thursday.

Nicholas Sachvie then wrapped the encounter in favour of Canada, defeating Ravi Dixit 11-7, 11-7, 11-4. Ramit Tandon pulled off a consolation win, beating Arjun Gupta 11-2, 11-1.

Shooting competition

Manav Rachna Open in 10m air rifle and air pistol shooting events will be held at the Manav Rachna International University in Faridabad on August 7.

Around 70 shooters from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi will be taking part in this competition.
