Jeev off to a strong start in Bahrain

Jeev Milkha Singh kicked off his campaign in the Volvo Golf Champions on a strong note by carding a 67 at the Royal Golf Club on Thursday to be T6 and three strokes off the leader, Johan Edfors of Sweden.

Jeev Milkha Singh kicked off his campaign in the Volvo Golf Champions on a strong note by carding a 67 at the Royal Golf Club on Thursday to be T6 and three strokes off the leader, Johan Edfors of Sweden. Teeing off from the 10th, Jeev recorded birdies on the 11th and 13th before dropping a shot on the 16th. He gained momentum after making the turn. After a birdie on the 3rd, he picked up another on the 5th and ended with back-to-back birdies.

India win team gold
Kuala Lumpur: Led by Chikkarangappa, India won the Asian Juniors Team Championship at the Damai Laut Golf & Country Club on Thursday. The team comprised Trishul Chinnappa, Saqib and Tarundeep Chadha. But the Indians missed making it a double as Chikka was pushed to silver by a stroke. The winner was Thailan'ds Rattanon Wannasrichan of Thailand (218).
