Sharath Kamal who is currently ranked 39 and recently won his maiden Pro Tour title is joined in the list by former national champion Subhajit Saha and Sourav Chakraborty. The women's contingent will have veterans Mouma Das her doubles partner Poulami Ghatak representing the country while Kumaresan Shamini has also been given an opportunity to vie for medals.
According TTFI's release, National coach Massimo Constantini of Italy and Bhawani Mukherjee, chief table tennis coach will train the team in the run up and during the Games. The team itself is in China as part of their training session and is likely to return on September 12.
