At least six people were killed and eight critically injured after a blast in a gas tanker at a private petrochemical factory in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police said. According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the blast was such that bodies of the labourers were thrown several metres away in the nearby fields.
