At least six people died in rain-related incidents as torrential downpour lashed Gujarat’s Vadodara till late Wednesday night, forcing authorities to shut down the airport and terminate or reschedule several trains. The city received 442mm of rain in just 12 hours between 8am and 8pm on Wednesday, leading to heavy water- logging. Schools in the city remained closed on Thursday. (PTI)
