Gopal Chaudhary, a cotton farmer from Manchanpur village in Akola district said, “In a normal year, I get a yield of around 160 to 170 quintals.” Due to the pink bollworm infestation this time around, his loss was around ₹ 50,000 and he suffered a notional loss of more than ₹ 8 lakh.
