According to the Miami's local tourism board, 4pm is the ideal time to hit Lummus Park beach, as crowds will have thinned and the sun will be more forgiving. Recently renovated, South Pointe Park at the southern tip of the city offers spectacular views of behemoth cruise ships sailing out to sea and includes a children’s playground, restaurants and a pier for fishing.
