Monsoon in India: IMD issues heavy rainfall alert across states

The weather department has predicted heavy to moderate rainfall in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Telangana, etc till July 29.

In Karnataka, monsoon rains continued to wreak havoc. Following a flash-flood warning in some parts of coastal and north interior Karnataka, authorities have declared a holiday for Wednesday in all the schools and colleges in the vulnerable regions, according to an official statement.  (PTI)
