A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, bringing all three objects into alignment. A partial solar eclipse happens when Moon fails to cover the entire circumference of the Sun and only a portion of it is visible from Earth. This year's partial eclipse is the second and final solar eclipse of the year, with the first occurring on April 30. See here some the eye-catching partial solar eclipse images captured from across India.
