Varun was riding a Honda Activa when he was stopped by the accused and assaulted. Varun fractured his nose as a result of the assault.
Varun, in his complaint at the Chatushrungi police station, said that he had taken ITI road from Parihar chowk towards Chaitraban Society when a white Volkswagen polo car came from Anand Park lane and sped ahead of him. The car came back and the driver asked Varun to step aside and questioned him as to why he did not give him way. The driver allegedly punched Varun on the nose and said that his name was Praneet Nimhan. The four attackers left in their car after a crowd had gathered at the scene. Bystanders did not intervene to stop the four accused. Varun was taken to Medipoint hospital by another car owner, where it was found that he had sustained a nose fracture.
