Started as a pilot project in 2018, Amity Global Business School (AGBS), Pune, will hold its annual event ‘Amibolt 2019’ on Sunday. The theme of the second edition of the run is ‘Health and fitness awareness amongst the youth’ and 900 runners will take part in the event.

“Our students come up with various ideas. Last year, they organised the run for healthy citizens. The event received good response and has now become an annual event. A total of 400 people took part in last year’s event,” said Col (Dr) Sneh V Sharma (retd), director general, AGBS Pune.

The run will start from AGBS Pune and cover Pashan before ending at AGBS, Pune via Baner road.

“I was impressed by the management skills exhibited by the students in conducting the event smoothly last year. This time too it will be conducted without any hurdles,” Col (Dr) Sharma said.

The entire route of the marathon will carry proper signage, water support, medical stations and micro-management at all the support stations. Besides, trophies to the winners, T-shirts to all participants, customised chip-timed running bibs for 21-km and 10-km runners along with medals, e-certificates and refreshments will be provided.

Col (Dr) Sharma will flag off the marathon.
