Enforcement directorate grills DS Kulkarni in Pune jail

The infamous builder, his wife Hemanti and son Shirish are in jail in connection with cheating people.

The enforcement directorate (ED) on Tuesday questioned the infamous builder DS Kulkarni(DSK) inside the Yerwada central prison premises. He is accused of money laundering worth hundreds of crores.

DS Kulkarni, his wife Hemanti and son Shirish are in jail in connection with cheating people. The others who have been arrested in the case will also be interrogated by the enforcement directorate.

The Pune city police have filed a charge sheet against DSK for allegedly duping thousands of investors to the tune of Rs 2,043 crore. Nine companies were floated by DSK and his accomplices to siphon off money collected from banks and 33,000 investors.

According to the ED, Kulkarni, his wife Hemanti and other accused have derived proceeds of their crimes, from activities that involved collecting deposits from various investors across India by promising exorbitantly high returns.
