A final year student of College of Engineering, Pune, was found hanging in the college toilet in the late hours of Saturday. The student was identified as Nehal Thakare, 21. He was found hanging in the toilet inside the main building of the college, said Dr Bharatkumar Bhagatraj Ahuja, director of CoEP.

“Yes, the college building is accessible at all hours. He was out with his friends. We do not know the exact time this happened,” said Dr Ahuja. “He had two papers to give. I am not sure if he had appeared for them,” he added. “He was a cheerful boy. We are in a shock. He was also fond of literature,” said Dr Ahuja.
