Pune gang of 9 booked under MCOCA

Brown sugar, charas, Swift car, Activa bike, cash and jewellery worth over Rs.6 lakh were seized by the police.

Police on Monday booked nine members of the Aarti Misal gang under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) for their involvement in supply of narcotics like brown sugar and charas.

However, remaining five, including Aarti Misal, Pooja Misal, Nilofar Shaikh, Azhar Shaikh and Rocksingh Kalyani, were arrested on January 7 and two, including Ayesha Shaikh and Julykhabi shaikh are yet to be arrested. Brown sugar, charas, Swift car, Activa bike, cash and jewellery were seized by the police.
