Two school girls sexually harassed in Khed near Pune within two days
Police inspector Godse of Chakan police station is investigating both the cases which were registered on Saturday.
Two cases of sexual harassment on two minor girls were reported from Khed, in the past two days. Khed falls under the Chakan police station jurisdiction.
On Thursday afternoon, a 12-year-old girl was playing on a slide near a local school in Karanjvihir village in Khed when a 26-year-old man approached her. The man, though a native of the same place, was working in Ghatkopar, west region of Mumbai.
He took the girl to the school back yard, touched the girl inappropriately and forced himself on her.
A case under Sections 354(a) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with Sectios 8 and 12 of Protection of Children against Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act was registered against him at Chakan police station under Pune rural police jurisdiction.
On Friday, a day after this incident, a 15-year-old girl was stopped by three men riding on one bike, while she was on her way to the school. One of them held her hand forcibly and told her that he loved her, according to her complaint. The three repeated the crime by following her and forcibly holding her hand on Saturday morning as well.
A case under similar sections was registered in the incident at Chakan police station. Police inspector Godse of Chakan police station is investigating both the cases which were registered on Saturday.
