16 trains cancelled due to protest by Dera followers

As many as 16 trains under the Ferozepur railway division were cancelled following protests by followers of Dera Sacha Sauda at various places in Ferozepur and Moga districts.

As many as 16 trains under the Ferozepur railway division were cancelled following protests by followers of Dera Sacha Sauda at various places in Ferozepur and Moga districts.

According to reports, Dera followers squatted on rail tracks at various places to demand screening of the MSG-2 movie in the state. They had come out on rail tracks since 6 am.

The cancelled up trains included train nos. 14629, 54051, 74963, 54571 (all (Ludhiana to Ferozepur), 54575 (Ludhiana to Lohian Khas), 14613 (Chandigarh to Ferozepur) and down trains 74962, 54572, 54052, 14630, 74964 (all Ferozepur to Ludhiana), 74936 (Ludhiana to Hisar), 74961 (Ajitwal to Ferozepur), 54646 (Moga-Ludhiana section), 14614 (cancelled between Talwandi-Chandigarh section.

Partially cancelled trains included 12043 (Ludhiana- Moga section) and 12044 (Moga-Ludhiana section).
